You choose the product. They live in it. They cannot read the label or tell you it stings. That is why the rules below are not negotiable.
We formulate at their pH, not ours
Human skincare sits near pH 5.5. Dog and cat skin sits closer to neutral. Every wash-off product is developed towards their range, not ours.
No fragrance, at all
Fragrance is the most common contact allergen in cosmetics, and it is in animal products so that the bath smells nice to you. We leave it out.
No essential oils, in anything
Cats process some plant compounds poorly, and they groom everything off themselves within the hour. Tea tree, citrus, pine and eucalyptus stay out of the dog products too, because bottles get shared.
Everything has to survive being licked
We formulate on the assumption that some of the product ends up swallowed, because sooner or later it does. That rules out a lot of interesting ingredients, and we are fine with that.
Short ingredient lists, printed in full
Every list goes on the product page before you buy, not just on the bottle after. If an ingredient is not doing something we can explain, it is not in there.
What we say, and what we do not
Pawélle products are cosmetics for grooming and everyday care. They are not medicines. We do not claim to heal, treat or cure anything, and if the skin is broken, bleeding or infected, a vet is the right call, not a bottle.
Trust through transparency
We would rather publish an ingredient list than a badge. Claims such as made in Europe, cruelty-free or dermatologically tested appear here only once we can substantiate them for the final product.
